Target audience: Third year CS/IT undergraduates

Research Team: Kavya Alse, Sridhar Iyer

Troubleshooting is essential for computer science graduates. It is a complex process including diverse capabilities like causal reasoning, rich domain knowledge etc.

Kavya, in her thesis is trying to help students learn a structured process of troubleshooting. Computer Networking is a subject in the CS curriculum which offers apt opportunities to learn troubleshooting.

She has designed and developed a tool called PHyTeR which can be used with a network simulator to learn troubleshooting by doing a set of learning activities.
